Subscription dues are just like a magazine subscription. It gives you 365 days of membership in the VFW. With this being the first year that they are coming into effect it will be a process that we are not use to. The basic breakdown of what is going to happen is:

If you are an annual member and you pay your dues before Jan your expiration will be Jan 2015. If you pay after that date whatever day your dues are processed at National will be the new expiration date. Example would be that you send in your dues to National on 1 Feb 2015 and National processed them on the 15 Feb. Your new expiration date would be 15 Feb 2016.

Annual membership Dues $35 and due on the anniversary of the date you joined the VFW or the date of annual renewal.



Fulton County Veteran Service Officer (VSO) is Danny Crow.  Danny Crow is also the VSO for Post 9777. His office number is 870-895-3900. His office hours are every Tuesday and Thursday from 0800-1600.

Post 9777 meetings are normally held the first Monday of the month at 7pm with pot luck at 6 pm. If post meeting falls on National Holiday, the meeting will be held the following Monday at 7pm.

Post 9777 is located in Salem Arkansas in Fulton County. It is located off of 395N at 105 Veterans Way. 

Post 9777 has bingo every Friday Night starting at 6 pm. Doors open at 4 pm and the Kitchen starts serving at 5 pm.

The Salem VFW is a dry post and does not serve alcohol. The nearest wet Posts are in Mountain Home, Ar and Evening Shade, AR.

What is the difference between the VFW and the American Legion? Simply put, the American Legion generally accepts Veterans of the US Military no matter where they served. The VFW however, only accepts Veterans of the US Military who served overseas in a combat zone or received hostile fire pay.
